Anthony Cameron is an experienced Counselor with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry providing counseling, psychotherapy, supervision, consultation, and training. Skilled in working with adults struggling with the following issues: trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and grief and loss.
Counseling & Psychotherapy
My areas of expertise are in interpersonal trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions.
Interpersonal trauma is defined as involving any of the following traumatic experiences: emotional abuse, emotional neglect, physical abuse, physical neglect, and sexual abuse in childhood or adulthood.
My treatment approach focuses on being person centered, providing clients with empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, as well as individualizing treatment based on the client’s unique needs, strengths, and way of looking at one’s world. Thus, client feedback is prioritized and valued. I have been heavily influenced by existential-humanistic stances to treatment focusing on developing a strong therapeutic alliance and partnership based on presence, understanding, trust, and support. Special emphasis is placed on freedom of choice within limitations, focusing on the here and now, and meaning making. My technical skills, training, and experience center around developing cognitive skills, behavioral strategies, mindfulness, family systems, and solution-focused.

Professional & Educational Services
Consultation
I offer individual and group consultation focusing on case conceptualization and treatment from the following perspectives (existential humanistic, existential integrative, and cognitive behavioral).
Individual consultation fee: $100 per hour (group rate depends on number of attendees)

Training
Building your own practice
I have helped several therapists start their own private practice. In addition, I helped an agency in the Tucson area start their own outpatient clinic.
Practice development fee: $120 per hour
Clinical Supervision
Are you a Counselor or therapist looking for supervision? I am on the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Registry as an approved supervisor for Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC). I have helped numerous Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) obtain their Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure.
Supervision fee: $150 per hour
